Also known as chicken wire, this galvanized before weaving (GBW) hexagonal poultry netting fence is an economical mesh and fence. 20 gauge galvanized wire is woven into 1" or 2" hex openings. 17 gauge - 1-1/2" mesh
Also known as Apron Fence, this 17 gauge GBW hexagonal netting mesh is much
heavier than 20 gauge and will last longer. Rolls are available in 60" and 72" widths. It is made with an apron - a line wire runs the length of the roll 12" up from the bottom edge. The 12" portion can be bent along this line wire creating an apron that lies on top of the ground. The apron eliminates the need to trench the wire. It lays on top of the ground and acts as a barrier to prevent animals from digging under the fence. The fence can also be used without the apron feature. It is particularly useful in fencing beagle training pens and game bird pens.
