Here are great ways to use panels:

  • Aquaculture
  • Bird sanctuaries
  • Boardwalks
  • Cat runs
  • Concrete reinforcement
  • Deck railings
  • Dog kennels
  • Enclosures
  • Filtration devices
  • Gabions
  • Gardens
  • Machine guards
  • Swimming Pools
  • Rabbit cages
  • Stairwell railings

Most panels are cut from rolls; however, some are manufactured per order depending on the mesh/gauge/finish configuration.  If you are doing a large project requiring at least 50 panels, installation requires much less labor when handling flat panels versus trying to unroll several rolls and cutting them by hand.

Panels are flattened and sheared to size. They are more costly; however, the time savings is priceless. Depending on the preferred panel size, the freight for shipping may also be higher; however, we provide extremely fair rates and pass these savings on to our customers.

The panels are sold in various gauges, mesh configurations, and finishes. Panels are sold as flat, unframed sheets. We do not offer framed panels. Some configurations have minimum order quantities, and others are available in the requested amount. This depends on the manufacturer.

Please inquire about the panels offered, as we can satisfy your needs and discuss the options available.

If you choose to cut your panels, remember there are two cuts per panel except for the first one. It would be best to cut the exposed wires left from the previous cut for each additional cut. Cutting wire takes hand strength and patience. The heavier the gauge, the harder it is to cut through the wire. Pre-cut panels save you time and won't tire your hand! To minimize the memory, reverse roll the cut panel, tie it and leave it in the sun to heat for a day.

If you are sandwiching your panels in between wood, there's no need to coat the exposed ends. If the cut ends remain exposed to the weather, there is special paint for coating.

Wire Gauges and Mesh

The opening sizes are offered in Plain Steel, Galvanized, Vinyl Coated, and Stainless Steel.  Panels are flattened and sheared (cut) to size from standard size roll widths (18”, 24”, 36”, 48”, 60, & 72”) but may be available in an alternate length.

The panels are cut from 100-foot rolls; therefore, you need a minimum purchase of 100 feet per gauge, mesh opening, and width size. However, a four-roll minimum purchase may be required depending on the finish. Stainless steel panels may be available in smaller volumes depending on whether the panels are made individually or cut from a 100-foot roll.

The table below shows the number of panels per 100-foot roll based on the mesh opening size. You will get this many panels cut from a 100-foot roll. The mesh opening size is the distance between the vertical wires. The length is the horizontal measurement. So, for example, if you want your panels to be 36" high by 48" long, the panels are cut from a 100-foot roll that is 36" wide. If your mesh opening size is 1.5 inches, you will get 24 panels.
