🦩 How White Flamingos Changed How I Think About Fencing and Environments Forever!
When I visited a zoo in Florida, I was totally amazed to see that the young flamingos were white! I had always assumed flamingos were naturally pink. It was there that I learned their vibrant color comes from their diet of algae, shrimp, and other brine organisms rich in carotenoids. It struck me how much their environment and what they consume shapes their appearance.
It’s a reminder that “we are what we eat”—in so many ways!
This lesson also made me think about the importance of environments, not just for animals like flamingos but for all of us. At Louis E. Page, we’ve had the privilege of helping zoos and wildlife parks create safe, supportive enclosures for animals. Fencing doesn’t just provide security; it shapes habitats, allowing animals to thrive.
Whether it’s a zoo enclosure for exotic animals or practical solutions for farms, gardens, or other projects, we’re passionate about crafting fencing that enhances and protects environments.
So, whether you’re creating a habitat for animals or a safe, functional space for your property, we’d love to help you build something that lets life thrive.
Let’s work together to create the right environment—flamingo-friendly or otherwise!
