💃 Dizzy from Contra Dancing, Grounded by Fences: The Unexpected Connection That Could Change Your Next Project
Last night, I found myself swept off my feet—literally—at the longest-running Contra dance in the United States, just a few minutes up the road from me. Now, I’ve tried Scottish dancing, ballroom dancing, and even square dancing before, but Contra dancing? That’s a new one for me.
What struck me most wasn’t just the lively music (fiddle, piano, mandolin—it was magical!) or the intricate steps, but the sheer joy of the experience. People of all ages were laughing, smiling, and working together to keep the rhythm and flow. Even when I got a little dizzy and had to sit out a dance, the kindness and encouragement of others kept me coming back to the floor.
It got me thinking about community—the connection and trust we build when we come together, whether in a dance hall, at a local park, or even in the spaces surrounded by our fences.
Just like the Contra dance creates a space for joy and togetherness, the fences we provide at Louis E. Page, Inc. create spaces for families, businesses, and communities to thrive. From protecting gardens and farms to securing parks and playgrounds, fencing creates boundaries that bring us closer—spaces where memories are made and friendships flourish.
As I continue to perfect my dance steps each Monday night, I’m reminded of how much joy there is in showing up, trying something new, and investing in the places that matter most. And that’s what we’re here for—to help you create spaces where joy and connection can grow.
