Uncle Carroll Knows Best

Today, I want to share a story that takes me back to my early days—straight from my **Uncle Carroll** and his twin brother, Harold. Uncle Carroll was the kind of guy who’d see a thunderstorm rolling in, lean back with a grin, and say, *“Let’s see if this old farm can handle a bit of wind.”* He loved to tell a story with a spark in his eye and a laugh ready to roll. And there was Harold, always beside him on the porch, listening with a smirk but rarely saying a word.

One summer, I was visiting the farm when a wild storm blew in out of nowhere. The sky turned dark as night, the winds howled like they had a score to settle, and I swear, it felt like the whole house was trembling. *“Better brace yourself,”* Uncle Carroll said, *“Mother Nature’s just warming up.”* And boy, was she ever.

The next morning, we stepped outside, expecting the usual post-storm chaos—branches down, tools scattered, maybe even a chicken or two who’d gone on an unscheduled adventure. But what caught my eye was his fence, stretching along the pasture, **looking like it hadn’t even blinked**. And there was Harold, leaning against that fence, puffing on his pipe with a grin.

*“That old fence,”* Uncle Carroll laughed, slapping his knee, *“I put that thing up thirty years ago, and it hasn’t blinked yet.”*

### Built to Last

Turns out, Uncle Carroll had built that fence to **withstand anything**. He didn’t believe in *“just good enough.”* He knew the value of solid, dependable work—especially when it came to protecting what mattered most. *“That fence knows its job,”* he told me with a wink. *“Just like we do.”*

And you know what? That’s the kind of fence we stand behind here at **Louis E. Page**. The kind Uncle Carroll would’ve trusted—**one that we build to withstand the storms, big and small, that life throws at us.**

### A Fence You Can Count On

If you’re looking for a fence as solid as Uncle Carroll’s—one you can count on—you know where to find us. We’re here to help you build something that’ll **stand the test of time**, just like that old farm fence that stood proud after the storm.

**Call our fabulous expert, Terry.** She’s as solid as Uncle Carroll’s fence. Reach her at **978-486-3116**.

**All my best regards,** **Debbie Page**

**P.S.** A good fence isn’t just about keeping things in—it’s about standing strong, no matter what comes your way.
