**🌿 A 6-Foot-Tall Guardian Angel of the Everglades (And What She Taught Me About Protection)**

You won’t believe what happened at storytime with my grandkids yesterday. (But on the other hand, you probably will since you know my mind is **always thinking “fencing.”**)

We were reading about **Marjory Stoneman Douglas**—this remarkable woman who stood toe-to-toe with developers trying to drain the Everglades. Talk about someone who knew the **value of protection**!

### **A River of Grass and a Legacy of Conservation**

Here’s the kicker: Before Marjory came along, folks saw the Everglades as nothing but **worthless swampland**. She called it a **"river of grass"** and fought like mad to protect it. Her vision reminds me of how we at **Louis E. Page** know that **proper fencing can serve conservation efforts**.

Conservation groups often use **specialized fencing** to: ✔ **Create wildlife corridors** that let animals move safely between habitats ✔ **Protect restoration areas** from human interference ✔ **Keep invasive species out** while letting native flora thrive

### **Fencing That Works With Nature**

If you’re working on protecting something precious—whether it’s a **wetland, wildlife corridor, or conservation area**—you need fencing that **works with nature, not against it**.

Got a conservation project in mind? **Terry’s our fence expert**, and she knows everything about choosing the **right fencing solution** for your needs. Give her a ring at **978-486-3116** or email her at **[email@louispage.com](mailto:email@louispage.com)**.

**Here’s to keeping the rivers of grass flowing,**
