1/2" x 1/2" mesh
1/2"x1/2" mesh, 19 gauge galvanized after weld (GAW) wire mesh and fence is also known as hardware cloth. After the 19 gauge wire is welded into a 1/2"x1/2" mesh, it is dipped into a bath of molten zinc. The entire wire cloth mesh, including the welded areas, is thoroughly sealed and protected against rust and corrosion. 19 gauge 1/2"x1/2" mesh will last a long time. This material is lighter in weight and strength than the 16 gauge 1/2"x1/2" mesh and therefore costs less. Particularly useful for small animal enclosures, nuisance animal exclusion - such as rodent or gopher barriers - or other applications where a light mesh, rust prevention and long life are desired. It can be used as a low cost flooring for chukar pens, though we recommend the heavier 16 gauge material. Woven mesh wire cloth is a special order item and is subject to availability.
